Built in the second half of the nineteenth century, Elbląg – Ostróda canal is the longest navigable channel in Poland, and at the same time a great example of contemporary engineering. It was built in order to connect East Prussia with the Baltic Sea. Its length with all its branches is more than 150 km, it connects Elbląg with Ostróda. During the cruise you have the opportunity to admire the incredible nature and a unique system of inclined planes: the difference in water levels in the area is 100 m.
